Gary Johnson: Putting My Vote Where My Mouth Is

Vote for Gary Johnson

I just wrote a comprehensive article on Weedist covering the cannabis legalization propositions nationwide, the possibility of new medical marijuana states, and the presidential race, from the perspective of “who’s better for cannabis users”.

It was as fair and balanced as I could make it, while still putting forth the idea that it’s not a great idea to vote for anyone who wants to actually put us in jail. So I discussed the many candidates who want to actually do something positive for this country by ending the Drug War and ending marijuana prohibition.

Vote for Gary Johnson
Vote for Gary Johnson – I Did!

I didn’t actually advocate for any particular candidate there, but I will here. I urge you to vote for Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate. He’s not “single-issue” on marijuana, but he does agree with us about it, and I happen to agree with many of this positions as well, as they’re all pro-freedom. And if you’re not voting for freedom, what are you voting for?

There are always well-meaning people out there who say, “Your vote will be wasted if you don’t vote for one of the two leading parties”, but I contend that my vote would be wasted if I voted for either of them. They don’t speak for me at all!

By continually voting for either Tweedledum or Tweedledee, we keep getting “more of the same” without substantial change in leadership. Let’s think out of the box and show that there are legitimate, thoughtful candidates with experience who can actually run things better!

Old Hippie is a father of two boys and thankfully living in California where all this kind of thing is legal. He started smoking marijuana in 1967 in high school, experimented with mind-expanding drugs of all kinds, and then straightened out 15 or so years later to become an airplane pilot. After being diagnosed with depression in 2000, he lost his job and most of the following decade to prescription medications (such as antidepressants) which sapped his energy and will. Finally, a chance conversation with a friend led to a doctor’s recommendation for medical marijuana (MMJ). This changed his entire life, health, and outlook for the better. BeyondChronic.com is his continuing story. It’s also his way to provide experienced advice on using medical marijuana effectively and responsibly, as well as advocacy, activism, and support for others. Old Hippie teaches about safe use of cannabis edibles, Canna Caps, vaporizers, dosing, and even microdosing.

I too refuse to vote the two parties. We will never see change if we continue to do the same thing over and over. here in CA, my third party vote doesn’t change the electoral college going for Obama but it does give the third party some exposure without tossing my vote to Rom-nesia and his minion

Sorry, Johnson was right next to barr in the least libertarian of all libertarian candidates. The dumbing down of the LP started a while back and now is starting to run parralel with the other parties and their followers it seems. Not that voting is going to accomplish anything but we did vote and it wasfor the only libertarian and that’s Ron Paul
Enjoy your socialism/fascism/militaryism as if you think its something now, hahaha wait.
