Granny Storm Crow’s Medical Marijuana Research List January 2016

Granny Storm Crow has been carefully compiling and disseminating this vast collection of information quietly and freely for years, and is a true grassroots pioneer of simply telling the truth about cannabis. And we help support her, by distributing her list equally freely. But I must warn you…it’s now up to 20 honking megabytes, despite being compressed like a bubble hash puck! So if you’re ready, click here.

Once again, I think it’s appropriate to let Granny herself make the introduction:

It’s a cold, foggy day here in northern California, and here I am again, sitting at my computer, figuring out what to say to all of you. Most of the time, the words I need come so easily to me, but not today! I’ve got a good case of writer’s block, but there are a few things I know I need to mention.

Lately, cannabis has become a very hot topic, both in the news and the world of science. It is getting harder to keep up with all of the new information. Yet, it’s still joy-filled work for me and I get to learn so much. I don’t see me stopping doing this.

One major change in the List, all of the recent news articles are now separate from the studies. Between all the news articles and studies, the 2010-2016 “Conditions” section was just getting too darn big — over 1,600 pages of links! I think being able to read the information as news will speed learning for the beginners. And those of you who are “into” the studies, you won’t have to wade through all those news articles to “get to the meat”.

I am hoping that all of you are registered to vote — several states have either medical, or full, legalization coming up later this year. Be sure that personal growing is allowed — otherwise you will be just trading one drug lord for another! The growing and personal use of medicinal herbs should not be a crime!

With legalization comes responsibility. If you grow outdoors near others, try to pick strains with a more pleasant odor such as “Agent Orange”, “C-99”, “Grape Ape” or any good “Lemony” strain. Your home-grown doesn’t need to smell like a road-kill skunk to be good! And consider using a herbal vaporizer if your smoke may drift to another’s home. Vaping is healthier than smoking and easier on your lungs. (See “Methods of Use – Vaporizers” in the “Conditions” section.) We need to respect those who choose not to use cannabis, and should ask for only the same level of courtesy in return.

About Old Hippie

http://gplus.to/OldHippie Old Hippie is a father of two boys and thankfully living in California where all this kind of thing is legal. He started smoking marijuana in 1967 in high school, experimented with mind-expanding drugs of all kinds, and then straightened out 15 or so years later to become an airplane pilot. After being diagnosed with depression in 2000, he lost his job and most of the following decade to prescription medications (such as antidepressants) which sapped his energy and will. Finally, a chance conversation with a friend led to a doctor’s recommendation for medical marijuana (MMJ). This changed his entire life, health, and outlook for the better. BeyondChronic.com is his continuing story. It’s also his way to provide experienced advice on using medical marijuana effectively and responsibly, as well as advocacy, activism, and support for others. Old Hippie teaches about safe use of cannabis edibles, Canna Caps, vaporizers, dosing, and even microdosing.

Is there anything on the success of cannibis and treating bone cancer? I can’t seem to see anything and maybe I’m overlooking it.
Thank you

I couldn’t find anything in depth and understandable – in laymans terms as to whether Hemp oil works for Bone Cancer. Would you please send me a direct link I can go directly to… When I click on any link to read and then try to go back to the previous links it sends me back … but all the way to the top of the page! Then it takes me 20 min to find where I was before on the page. Is there anyway to bookmark where I am so I don’t have to refine my place on the page…
There are many references to look through to and Id really appreciate any help you could give me to find if Cannabis oil can cure bone cancer. Thank you very much.

I’m not sure from your description whether your technical problems involve our website or the PDF file, but if it’s the latter, you should open the bookmarks tab in your PDF reader because that will really help you, especially in a 3300 page document! In any case, I looked at the almost two dozen references for bone cancer and you’re right, all of them were extremely technical medically and unfortunately none of them had any “magic bullet” for bone cancer that was cannabis-based.

So to answer your question…no, there is no medically recognized proof that cannabis oil can cure bone cancer, or any other cancer for that matter. This doesn’t mean that it can’t or won’t work, only that medical science does not recognize it as a cure, due to the statistically-based nature of medicine. For that matter, as far as I know there is no medicine of any kind that is accepted as an actual cancer cure.

Virtually all medical treatments using cannabis are considered experimental medicine, which means you are pretty much on your own in terms of help from most doctors, other than the most knowledgeable and compassionate ones who are willing to consider “whatever works and is considered medically safe”, rather than the more typical “I’ll do whatever everyone else does”. That’s probably why you’re here instead of talking to an oncologist…they’ve probably already given you bad news.

So nobody can legitimately tell you that cannabis will cure cancer, but nobody can tell you with a straight face that chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery will cure it either. They will tell you about 5-year survival rates instead, because they can’t actually offer a guarantee for every case. What I can and will tell you is that many people with cancer have gotten a great enhancement in their quality of life and pain by using cannabis in various forms, and quite a few have reported complete remission of cancer as well. If you or a loved one has the horror of bone cancer, you have little to lose by trying cannabis along with other treatments as approved by doctors.
