Felicity and the Green Tentacles

So today Felicity was under some stress. She was dealing with a sick cat, our son getting ready to go off to college, and some financial stuff (which she hates doing, but she’s really good at it). When under stress, her “special ability” kicks in, and she begins releasing stored cannabinoids.

But the financial stuff was really stressing her out, so she took one of her LA Confidential capsules, which are fairly strong. By the time we had to leave for a meeting with yet another of our medical support professionals, she casually mentioned that she was around level [12]. She seemed perfectly fine to me, and her capsules aren’t nearly that strong, so I figured she was just exaggerating a bit.

After leaving the meeting, she said she was now very hungry after our 4-hour meeting (which was actually closer to 45 minutes). I told her, “Don’t worry, I’ll drive us home for lunch as soon as we pick up the cat medicine.”

We got to the vet, and she went in to get the medicine. When she came out, she casually said, “I think I did pretty well, considering the receptionist had green tentacles.”

Not exaggerating, apparently.

Old Hippie is a father of two boys and thankfully living in California where all this kind of thing is legal. He started smoking marijuana in 1967 in high school, experimented with mind-expanding drugs of all kinds, and then straightened out 15 or so years later to become an airplane pilot. After being diagnosed with depression in 2000, he lost his job and most of the following decade to prescription medications (such as antidepressants) which sapped his energy and will. Finally, a chance conversation with a friend led to a doctor’s recommendation for medical marijuana (MMJ). This changed his entire life, health, and outlook for the better. BeyondChronic.com is his continuing story. It’s also his way to provide experienced advice on using medical marijuana effectively and responsibly, as well as advocacy, activism, and support for others. Old Hippie teaches about safe use of cannabis edibles, Canna Caps, vaporizers, dosing, and even microdosing.

That’s funny….Green tenacles.
The fact that Felicity said it ‘casually,’ really made me admire her even more.
Great article on the paranoia and anxiety. Just what I was lookin’ for.
Thank you.
Karen, N. CA, too.
ps. Just came from my hometown in Illinois. Pop. 9, 144 people. I asked a young woman, at the fast food joint where I was using the WIFI, what’s the cost of a joint [I said pre-roll first….hahah] ? 20 bucks. Broke my heart. She probably has to work 3 hours to buy one…but she was so happy to be weaning herself off Paxil. I had just researched the withdrawal symptoms…OMG. Tragic. So I told her ‘atta’ girl!!’ I learned a lot in 20 minutes. 😉 She was great….had to tell someone cool.
