Today, President Obama made a stirring plea to the Supreme Court, quoted here on Twitter:
Obama on SCOTUS: “My hope is that they go ahead and recognize what the majority of the american people now recognize”

The only “gotcha” is that he was speaking about legal same-sex marriage, not cannabis. But a majority of the American people now support legal cannabis — and that becomes a huge majority when we’re talking about medical marijuana — so when is the entire Federal government going to recognize what this majority already understands?
Perhaps on February 5, when US District Judge Kimberly J. Mueller is expected to hear final arguments in a case that might just take “marihuana” off Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act for good. And believe me…that would be good!
