How To Beat a Urine Test for THC

If you’re looking for a job or trying to keep your current one while taking your state-approved medical marijuana, drug tests are a constant source of worry. We don’t believe people should be judged on the chemical content of their urine, but the content of their minds and the conduct of their character.

I recently updated one of our most-requested articles, which tells how to beat urine tests for THC, with some of the latest tricks being used. I thought more people should know about it, so please click here!

About Old Hippie Old Hippie is a father of two boys and thankfully living in California where all this kind of thing is legal. He started smoking marijuana in 1967 in high school, experimented with mind-expanding drugs of all kinds, and then straightened out 15 or so years later to become an airplane pilot. After being diagnosed with depression in 2000, he lost his job and most of the following decade to prescription medications (such as antidepressants) which sapped his energy and will. Finally, a chance conversation with a friend led to a doctor’s recommendation for medical marijuana (MMJ). This changed his entire life, health, and outlook for the better. is his continuing story. It’s also his way to provide experienced advice on using medical marijuana effectively and responsibly, as well as advocacy, activism, and support for others. Old Hippie teaches about safe use of cannabis edibles, Canna Caps, vaporizers, dosing, and even microdosing.

Old Hippie, Recently, my employer, asked me to do a random urine test. I did it and after I started thinking about it and remembered I had smoked 2 puffs off of my boyfriends bowl (which was prescribed to him and he wanted me to try it to see if it helped with my insomnia) about 5 nights prior. The puffs were pretty minimal, the first one nothing even came out when I exhaled, the second was pretty minor too and I didn’t get any kind of high, relaxed or tired from it. Before that I smoked about a month ago once, about 4 nice hits and before that it’s been a real long time over a year. I have never been a chronic or regular smoker. Anyway, I got worried and bought an at home test and it was negative. I’m still worried though because I have read that the at home tests are not as accurate as the lab tests which is where I’m assuming he sends them. I drink a lot of cola and take vitamins regularly. The test was in the afternoon and I had peed a few times already that day. Is it safe to say that since the at home test was negative (the second line wasn’t as dark as the first, but was very visible) that I am safe in assuming the lab test will be as well?
